The Deschutes Estuary Restoration Team (DERT) is working to restore the Deschutes estuary by reconnecting the river to the sea. We advocate for the removal of the 5th avenue dam to comply with the Clean Water Act. We care about natural habitat and a community that values water quality, economic opportunity, and recreational access.

When you become a member, you give your support to the Deschutes estuary. We are the only group bold enough to take on this work. Members receive a mailed quarterly newsletter from DERT with stories, updates, events, opportunities and information for the Deschutes watershed and estuary restoration.
